  Cafe 1134 is an old favorite of mine. I know that may come as a bit of a surprise given the rating, but it's a long story of nostalgia and tourism. Simply put, cafe 1134 is the "local alternative" it the coffee shop which shall not be named . . . And that is why it has survived all in all.
  
  The food is good, and the ever changing staff of recently graduated people from near and far are all nice attentive people. However, the drink menu hasn't changed in at least a decade, and neither has any of the décor. 1134 needs to evolve some, if only to reevaluate what it makes (keep the local favorites and learn to cold brew).
  
  Otherwise it's in a great location toward the end of Orange avenue, with plenty to do close by. There are board games and free wifi to keep you and guests entertained. The real secret is the secluded back patio type area. It wont be an incredible vista, or even one at all, but it's that secluded place to sit and talk with an old friend or a new one you've been looking for.

  If you're in Coronado and you want delicious and healthy food in a cozy and unpretentious atmosphere, you've found your place. Great soup, sandwiches and coffee at moderate prices. Vegetarian food is available here.
